Stepan Company has ranked in the top 6% among chemical manufacturers in our most recent EcoVadis assessment, earning us a silver medal for 2025. This ranking reinforces Stepan's commitment to sustainability and best practices across four key categories: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

The EcoVadis assessment is a comprehensive evaluation platform that measures the sustainability performance of companies worldwide. It provides a detailed analysis of a company's commitments and performance, helping organizations identify areas for improvement and drive progress toward best practices. In 2024, EcoVadis introduced a new badge and medal framework, making the ranking even more competitive.

At Stepan, we believe this impressive performance in the EcoVadis assessment is a testament to our ongoing efforts to enhance its sustainability practices. We have seen steady upward improvements over the years, actively utilizing the EcoVadis assessment to identify areas for improvement and drive progress. Stepan's overall performance is ranked as 'Advanced' all categories, reflecting our strong commitment to sustainability.

The EcoVadis ranking is a valuable tool for companies looking to improve their sustainability performance. It provides a detailed assessment of a company's sustainability management system, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. 

EcoVadis medals and badges recognize companies that have demonstrated a strong management system addressing sustainability criteria. The eligibility criteria for these awards are stringent, with medals awarded to companies in the top percentiles: Platinum (top 1%), Gold (top 5%), Silver (top 15%), and Bronze (top 35%).
