Stepan Agricultural Solutions Presenting on Glufosinate Ammonium and Drone Application Adjuvants at FAT 2022, November 17

Surfactants play a vital role in supporting formulation stability and delivery to target surfaces on crops, which helps address formulation challenges in the agrochemical industry. To help formulators navigate product development, Stepan Agricultural Solutions’ Chen Shyan Wong, Agrichemical Scientist, will be presenting on Stepan’s latest adjuvant solutions for premium glufosinate ammonium and drone application adjuvants at the third Ag Formulation & Application Technology (FAT) Congress in Hangzhou, China, at 1:30 p.m. (SGT) on Nov. 17.
The first presentation will be showcasing Stepan’s STEPGROW® GP 102 and STEPGROW GL 104 XTRA. These are user-friendly and efficacy-enhancing adjuvants for glufosinate ammonium soluble liquid (SL) formulations. They are flowable at room temperature with no additional heating process required. Field trial results also indicated that both adjuvants showed superior bio-efficacy of glufosinate ammonium 200 g/L SL against barnyard grass, goose grass and rice galingale compared to the global leading brand and two industry standards.
The second presentation will address the benefits of STEPGROW MP-ADJ, STEPGROW DSD and STEPGROW DRTS. These products can be used as tank-mix or in-can adjuvants to address most application challenges when spraying pesticides through drones, such as drifting, spreading and applicability issues. STEPGROW MP-ADJ and STEPGROW DSD have higher compatibility, better drift-reduction and spreading capabilities compared to market benchmarks. STEPGROW DRTS is designed to reduce spray drift without adversely affecting agricultural tank mixtures.
